For a moment of personal of personal privilege at the appropriate time. Senator Davis you have the floor. Thank you Mr President, ladies and gentlemen you're introduced to my constituent Coopers Mauley who the Eagles comes from Silver I like to tell you a little bit about this young man, he is a 10th grader at Lord and Liberty Academy in Sewer North Carolina, he has accomplished quite a lot in his 15 years of life. Cooper is involved in scouting since he was six, he started out as a cab now he's an Eagle scout. He has 35 merit badges and to put that into perspective our sergeant at arms came here only here in 27 I understand, and senator Curtis 24. Of course that's compared to zero from yours truly unfortunately I was near Casablanca, Morocco with my military dad at that time so I didn't have any. The spirit badge to earn was shot gun shooting and doing that one sure we didn't [xx]  His least favorite was environmental science because he'd to sit in a classroom for eight hours with only 30 free time for the outdoors and parked. Cooper's Eagle scout service project was sponsored by the Lions club in Silver. For three years he assisted with the placement of patriotics flags

in the downtown area, for all patriotic holidays, and over the decades the flag holders had fallen into disrepair Cooper noticed the problem long before he became an Eagle scouter and he determined that one day he was going to do something about that and he was going to refabrish the flash holders, so they they would fly straight and proud. The boys scout has traditionally been considered to have three promises and those are duty to guard country, duty to other people and duty to self. Duty to God and country Cooper your family and religious leaders have taught you to know and serve God and by following these teachings you're doing your duty to God. Men and women of the past worked to make America great and many gave their lives for their country by being a good family member and a good citizen working for your country's good and obeying it's laws. You are doing your duty to your country. Duty to other people? Many people need help a cheery smile and a helping hand make life easier for others. By doing a good turn daily and helping when you're needed, you have proven yourselves of a scout and do your part to make this a better world. Duty to self. Keeping yourself physically strong means taking care of your body. Eat the right food and build your strength. Staying mentally awake means learning all you can, be curious and ask questions. Being morally straight means life with honesty, to be clean in your speech and actions and to be a person of strong character. Cooper, your life is an impressive example of these three promises. You honor this assembly by being here with us today. Congratulations. Senator Tillman, for what purpose do you rise? Mr. President a moment of personal privilege. Senator Tillman, you have the floor. Thank you This weekend I decided to take a little getaway from this place, and I went through some country that I had never seen before how many of you actually know where Fontana Dam is? Okay, that's more than I thought. How many have actually been there? Alright. Let's go with a harder one. How many of you know what county it's in? No, no, no. Tom, you should one senator knows not even the one that represents Fontanadam senator Davis you don't know where Fontanadam is? Senator Davis do you yield for a question? I will be glad to yield for a question. I've a question.yes.is in your district and what county it's in. As a matter of fact anybody that knows anything about Fontana Dam two county's thank you sir. Next is Senator Davis, but village of Fontana Dam is in one county. I don't want to discuss it. You probably know but I know that I only saw what I will tell you is something that you don't know. The actual citizens times, quit gooing up there because it's way past nowhere. To get a newspaper which I have. To have to the SA[sp?] students down I had to go 12 miles down the mountain to Willshead[sp?] Grocery. Now here it is, early in the morning and they have two papers there so you know business is not good. Two papers, I got one of them, stuff before dollars. And the paper didn't have much in it though I [xx] well to see if there's anything there about you. It normally is, but we did go back to Hendersonville and get a bushel of apples, but if you go up there, I saw counties like Graham, Swain, Henderson, Buncombe and there's a couple more up there that I can't remember but you better know where you're going if you want to get there. And there must have been about 1000 motorcycles up there and I found out why they all love to go up there. I love those mountains, you can go about two or 300 in about 12 miles. you ever driven up there? It's quite a place. And there's nobody up there, there's no people up there. They kept their resort area was filled but there wasn't anybody else in those little villages. You couldn't see anything but motorcycles. But it's a good trip if you want to get away. Phones don't work up there either thought you all know that Senator Brown for what purpose do you rise?   I don't have followed it, but an announcement please You have the floor senator.   First of all republicans will call this immediately after session
